Becoming a member connects you to over a century of tradition, community, and excellence in the field trial world.

📝 Step 1: Complete the Application

Be familiar with the English Setter Club rules and regulations.

📅 Step 2: Application Review

Once your application is received, it will be presented at the next Board of Directors monthly meeting for approval.
You will be notified directly of the Board’s decision.

🔄 Membership Rates

New Membership: $810 (includes a one-time $250 initiation fee)
Applications after June 30th: $530.00 (includes the $250.00 initiation fee)
Annual Dues: $560.00 | Annual ATV Storage Dues: $250.00
- Additionally, we are required to charge and remit NJ sales tax of 6.625% on each of these items.
Annual Due Date: December 31st
- After this date, lapsed members must reapply as new members.

Credit Cards and Checks are accepted for payment.

🌟 Membership Benefits
The English Setter Club is a private, limited-membership organization offering a safe, well-managed environment for serious field dog enthusiasts.

🐾 Safe & Secure Training Grounds
Our gated property is set back from the road, with much of the area fenced, making it a reasonably safe environment for dogs off the lead. Members enjoy access to expansive grounds designed for conditioning and training.

🐦 Game Birds for Training
The club maintains pigeons, quail, chukar, and other species for training purposes. Quail may never be shot, ensuring the grounds remain consistently well-stocked for field work.

🎯 Club Activities & Traditions
Membership includes access to:

Trap shooting opportunities
An annual picnic and social events
The prestigious Lee Bird Memorial Trial, a dual-sanctioned field trial that draws professionals and amateurs alike

⚠️ While limited hunting is permitted at times, this is not a hunting club.

🏡 Facilities & Amenities

Heated Clubhouse with full kitchen and restrooms
On-site manager residing in the historic farmhouse
Members-only pet cemetery
Horse stable and sheds
Ample parking for trailers
Water and electricity are available for trailers.
