The English Setter Club of America is one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs of its kind in the United States. Founded in 1905, it is rich in tradition and bird-dog lore. Since its inception, the club has conducted field trials open to all pointing breeds—welcoming both professional trainers and amateurs alike.

Today, we continue that legacy with a full calendar of pointing dog field trials held year-round on our grounds. Spectators and participants are always welcome! If you love bird dogs and field trialing, this is the place to connect, learn, and enjoy the sport.

Club Membership

Ideal for professional and amateur bird‑dog enthusiasts with a primary interest in field trialing, hunt tests, and training. New applicants must provide their contact information, the names of two active club members who sponsor them, and their interests in club activities.
