CALL TO ORDER: 7:30 PM by President Kerr.

BY-LAWS REVIEW: see attachment “By-Laws Review #1”

REPORTS:

CORRESPONDING SEC: Frank Williams of Elkton MD approved as new member.

TREASURER’S: Checks and bills still coming in from Centennial. Expect to have better numbers next mtg.

FIELD TRIAL: no report

GROUNDS: grounds look fantastic. Board congratulated the committee on a JOB VERY WELL DONE! Repairs done to brush hog. Filling pot holes. All cutting about finished.

INSURANCE: up-to-date.

OLD BUSINESS:

• Ad book is with printer and should be done next week.

• Brian still working on our 18’ right of way driveway issue.

• Centennial celebration: Gary thanked everyone for all their work in making the event such a huge success. The Board expressed appreciation to Gary for his efforts at coordinating it.

NEW BUSINESS:

• 177 birds out (@$2.50 ea.) in 3 coveys. This adds to the 4 or so existing in recall pens. Hunter stressed the absolute need to feed the new birds each day with starter feed until they become established in a few weeks. Bob will be asked to do this.

• Ivan handed out information about a new Purina Award.

• A letter is being drafted exploring efforts for our grounds becoming designated & protected as “open space”. More on this next mtg.

• Motion approved to authorize our using Club equipment to cut some grounds at Greenwood. Only a responsible operator may do this.

• NJ Fish & Game would like to do again the “Outdoor Women” program on our grounds. Mike M. will look into this.

• A reminder was given about having old & off-line 4-wheelers removed from barn. Ed will work on determining ownership of the quads.

• Shorthair Club ran a “fun day trial”. Board consensus was that they should compensate the Club for the use of the grounds.

• Board approved getting a quote to have hedge rows cut. Board is interested in how much can be done in 2 days and how much it will cost.
