BY-LAWS REVIEW: see attachment “By-Laws Review #2:

MINUTES: July min. were approved

REPORTS:

• Corresponding Secretary’s – none

• Treasurer’s – Mike needs account book for field trial. Joe C. is thought to have. Hunter will help get this to Mike.

• Field Trial – Deb will be doing the Club’s Nov. trial. Club will sponsor at Greenwood both the Armature Pheasant & Garden State Shooting Dog Championships.

• Grounds – In good shape. Expect soon hedge row cutting of about 3,500 ft. Ed K will make some “cut troughs” of feeding strips as per previous Board mtg.

• Insurance – no report

• Centennial – Most all bills in. Mike & Gary hope to reconcile everything shortly.

OLD BUSINESS:

• Land Preservation – working on straightening out the deed. Should preservation effort materialize, any $ generated must go only to ESCA (important tax ramifications).

• 18” Right-of-way – looks like we are correct that we have this. Medford has an obligation to maintain. Will approach them about this in the future. Log Cabin owners will be made aware of our 18’.

• GSP “fun day” – information received is that they paid our grounds fee and that this event was on the schedule. The issue of shooting birds in off season was discussed and the Board held to its position that no killing can be done between May 1 and Sept 1. All groups must honor this.

• Recall Pens – some were found locked and some with the entries covered. This is unacceptable. Hunter requested that pen use rules be printed, laminated and posted at each pen. Also, we should “wrap” the pens a few inches above ground to shield from running dogs but allow birds to return. This will be done before fall field trial season.

• Caretaker’s – Culvert pipe is in and working. 80 yr of soil put down. New roof on trap house. Lost 4-5 pigeons but have 10 or so ready to be introduced. Signs for proper usage of the coop have been posted.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Applications approved for – Brenda Silverman, Linda Moser & Richard Brown.

• Letter from nonmember requesting use of club for a wedding. Was denied.

ADJOURNMENT – at 9:40 PM

respectfully: G. Miller Sec.
